Help AdamAI grow.
AdamAI is the language model I'm building from scratch on my channel, one piece at a time, so we can open it up and see what's going on inside. Your contribution buys GPU time for bigger runs, and every dollar spent shows up in the public ledger below.

Where it stands
The current model, AdamAI Genesis, has about 114 million parameters. The next one, Exodus, is three times bigger and trains on rented data-center GPUs. The big labs train on clusters of hundreds of thousands of them.
What AdamAI is, what it has learned so far and where it's going: the AdamAI page.
Training-cost goals
Each step is a bigger model or a longer run. Costs are estimates from the training plan and move with GPU prices.
Cloud test run
Prove the cloud pipeline: speed, memory, saving and resuming on a rented GPU.
Exodus
A 340-million-parameter model trained from scratch on 25 billion tokens, on one rented H100.
Exodus, extended
Keep training Exodus toward about 55 billion tokens while it is still improving.
Exodus Chat answers
A larger open model writes 60,000 example answers so AdamAI can learn to chat. Free if volunteers run it at home.
A SmolLM2-class run
Train on trillions of tokens across several GPUs, the scale of small open models from the big labs.
Public ledger
Every dollar spent on compute, what it paid for, and what it bought.
| Date | Run | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Nov 7, 2026 | Cloud test run: one L40S GPU for about 32 minutesMeasured 44,500 tokens a second, and confirmed save, resume and the long-context phase all work. | $0.97 |
| Total spent | $0.97 |
What your money buys
Hour estimates use about $3.94 an hour for a rented Nvidia H100, the spot price in the AdamAI training plan. Prices move, so treat these as ballpark figures.
Where it goes
- Rented GPU time for AdamAI training runs and experiments
- Storage and data for those runs
Runs that supporters help pay for show up in the Growing a Brain series, where you can see what the model learned, and in the ledger above.
Watch the series
Episode 1 builds AdamAI from an empty file: the tokenizer, attention, a full GPT, and the moment it starts writing.
Questions
Is this tax-deductible?
No. I'm an independent creator, not a charity, so contributions aren't tax-deductible.
Can I give monthly?
Yes, through Patreon. One-time contributions go through Stripe.
How do I know where the money went?
Every paid training run goes in the public ledger on this page, with what it cost and what it bought.
Why not just use the big AI models?
Because you can't open them up. The point of AdamAI is to build one ourselves, so we can see what's happening inside while it learns.
Every hour of compute counts.
